The Washington State Department of Transportation warns of delays this weekend resulting from increased Labor Day traffic.
AAA projects nearly 10 percent more holiday travelers on the roads this year compared with last year, according to the DOT.
Although construction mostly will be shut down over the weekend, the DOT warns that four areas could see especially large backups:
Interstate 5 south of Olympia through Centralia/Chehalis.
Interstate 90 between North Bend and Cle Elum.
I-5 near the U.S./ Canada border.
U.S. Highway 2 between Stevens Pass and Leavenworth. For live cameras showing traffic in several South Sound locations, go to www.theolympian.com/traffic
