The following projects are expected to affect Olympia traffic, according to the City of Olympia. Water reservoir maintenance will close Fir Street between Seventh and Eighth streets Wednesday.
A crew from Public Works will begin the project at 8 a.m; it will take about four hours. A large crane will be at work in the street to remove and replace vents on top of the water tank. The city aims to re-open the road by noon.
Road maintanence will close 18th Avenue Southeast between Hoffman Drive and Fones Road to vehicles Tuesday.
Crews will perform final paving and striping of 18th Avenue and the roundabouts from 5 a.m.-9 p.m. However, rain would delay the work until the next dry day.
Never miss a local story.
Flaggers will guide bicyclists, pedestrians and school buses through the construction area.
