A man was shot in the head during a brawl in Tacoma on Sunday night, police said.
At 6:45 p.m., about six men began fighting in the 4500 block of an alley between South Union Avenue and South Puget Sound Avenue. It is unknown what started the melee, which unfolded behind several homes.
One of the men yelled out, “You’re gonna sleep,” before firing at least one shot, according to scanner traffic.
“It was an argument that turned into a fistfight, and somebody pulled out a gun,” said Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum.

The victim was taken to a hospital. His condition was unknown late Sunday.
Officers chased and detained several men involved in the fight but the shooter is still at large, Fulghum said. One person was arrested on suspicion of obstructing justice.
The K-9 team was called out to assist in finding the shooter.
