Tacoma police were trying Wednesday to figure out who killed a 20-year-old man whose family found him shot to death Tuesday in his apartment.
Investigators had no suspect and no motive for the shooting, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.
Family members went to an apartment the 7300 block of South Wilkeson Street where the man and a woman related to him lived, Fulghum said. The family wanted to check on the woman, who answered the door and was OK, he said.
But family members found the 20-year-old man dead and called police about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police talked to the man’s family members and neighbors, Fulghum said. Some neighbors said they heard gunshots coming from the apartment Sunday night but did not call police.
Detectives talked to the woman who lives in the apartment and do not believe she’s a suspect in the slaying, Fulghum said.
