Steven R. Moulton, the son of embattled Morton junior high school history teacher Michael Moulton, will be arraigned Thursday in Lewis County Superior Court on charges of first-degree burglary.
Prosecutors charged Moulton, 21, after he allegedly broke into a public bathroom stall at Gust Backstrom City Park in Morton and punched an 8-year-old boy twice in the face June 24.
Moulton was dragged off the boy by the boy’s grandfather and detained by a family friend until police arrived. He was released Nov. 16 into the custody of his father on a $25,000 unsecured bond.
Prosecutors say there was no evidence of sexual assault.

Michael Moulton’s teaching certificate was suspended by the state for three years at the beginning of the school year amid accusations that he’d inappropriately touched students. He is on paid leave from Morton Junior/Senior High School.
