A 16-year-old Enumclaw girl was shot to death late Saturday and King County sheriff’s investigators are trying to determine whether the shooting was intentional or accidental.
The girl was reported as a runaway in late October. Her mother called deputies Saturday night after she spotted the girl smoking on the deck of a home in the 33900 block of Southeast Green River Headworks Road.
Three men inside the house refused to let deputies search the home and claimed the girl wasn’t there.
The mother allegedly told deputies that she saw two vehicles leave before deputies arrived but she couldn’t see whether her daughter was inside.
The girl’s 25-year-old boyfriend lived in the house and was questioned along with the other men.
After the shooting, two men – including the girl’s friend – drove her to Enumclaw Community Hospital in a truck. She was pronounced dead at 8:20 p.m.
No arrests have been made.
