A thief or thieves cut a lock off of a storage unit in the 20000 block of Grand Mound Way Southwest over the weekend, then ripped a hole in the wall to gain access to six adjacent storage units, stealing more than $10,000 worth of tools and auto parts, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s Lt. Greg Elwin said the theft was reported to sheriff’s detectives on Sunday. The theft appears to have occurred between Friday and Sunday, he said.
An air compressor, a power saw, drill bits, a tool box and assorted auto parts were reported taken.
