A three-month project over Interstate 5 in Olympia will bring lane and sidewalk closures for drivers, bicyclists, walkers and joggers heading from downtown to Tumwater on Capitol Boulevard, according to the Department of Transportation.
According to a news release: The DOT and its contractor, Cascade Bridge, today will begin replacing rail and fencing along the Capitol Boulevard Bridge.
Drivers and pedestrians can expect right-lane and sidewalk closures on the south side of the bridge. Work hours are 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. weekdays.
After crews finish work on the south side of the bridge, construction will move to the north side of Capitol Boulevard.
