Pierce County sheriff's detectives on Wednesday were trying to identify two men who stole beer from a Tacoma gas station last weekend and shot at the clerk as they fled.
The men entered the Union 76 station in the 10500 block of Steele Street South about 12:30 a.m. Saturday and took several cases of beer, deputies said.
They got into a maroon vehicle and fired several shots at the clerk, who had chased them out of the store. One bullet hit a customer’s vehicle.
One robber was about 6 feet and 200 pounds with dark hair worn in a ponytail atop his head. He was wearing a black jacket and black shorts.
