The public is invited to an open house set for 1-4 p.m. today at the new Olympia City Hall, 601 Fourth Ave. E.
A welcoming ceremony is set for 12:45 p.m. in front of the building. Councilmembers will cut a ribbon and open the doors at 1 p.m.
People can meet and talk with elected officials and city staff members during the open house, a city news release said. All four floors will be open and viewable in self-guided tours. Large sections of the Police Department will be open for guided tours, with the last tour starting at 3:45 p.m.
There will be booths about city programs, services and other items of interest on the second floor.
