Military families can take advantage of two new Madigan Army Medical Center clinics, one at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and another in Puyallup.
Madigan cares for more than 1 million people every year, and the new clinics could reduce some of the heavy patient traffic at its main hospital.
Madigan last week opened a $28 million clinic for active-duty families near its hospital on Lewis-McChord. The clinic replaces an existing building and stands adjacent to a dental clinic. Madigan says the family and dental clinics will serve 15,000 patients a year.
Meanwhile, Madigan is bringing some services closer to where military families live with its recently opened Puyallup clinic and with one scheduled to open later this year in Olympia.
Patients must voluntarily seek care at the off-site clinic in Puyallup, and Madigan is recruiting them to clear capacity at the main hospital.
“So far, the clinic has received rave reviews by its patients,” Madigan spokesman Jay Ebbeson said.
The Puyallup clinic is at 10507 156th St. E., Suite 112. To change your enrollment to the Puyallup clinic, call 253-477-5053.
The Olympia clinic will be located at 3315 Pacific Ave. S.E. in the Olympia Plaza.
