Two people were hospitalized after a woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the neck off Pacific Avenue in Olympia early Thursday morning.
The man and woman, both in their late 40s to early 50s, work for a moving company, according to Olympia Sgt. Aaron Jelcick.
The pair are from out of town and work as a driver and packer for the moving company, according to Olympia Police Department spokesperson Laura Wohl.
The woman had allegedly been drinking Wednesday night and got into a dispute with her boyfriend in the cab of the semi-truck parked in the 3700 block of Pacific Avenue.
The dispute escalated to her stabbing him with a 6-inch serrated hunting knife, Jelcick said.
"She drove it into his neck," Jelcick said.
Both were taken to the hospital. The man suffered a "very deep wound" to his neck, but neither suffered life-threatening injuries, Wohl said.
Doctors say the man "is very fortunate to be alive," Jelcick said.
