Road striping is expected to begin Sunday in Tumwater creating some traffic delays for residents and commuters, according to a news release.
Tumwater Public Works and Lewis County Public Works road crews will be doing roadway striping throughout the city from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Striping requires dry weather conditions, meaning work could be delayed in the case of inclement weather.
The city is encouraging drivers to avoid driving over freshly painted lines. Striping equipment will have flahsing lights and be followed by other vheicles with wet paint advisory signs to help prevent drivers from going over wet paint, the release said.
