Thurston County officials added more roads to a list of closures on Wednesday due to localized flooding and mudslides.
“More rain is forecast for the area off and on through Friday, and more road flooding is a possibility, so drivers should avoid all flooded roads, even if they don’t see any road closed signs,” Thurston County emergency manager Kathy Estes said in a news release.
The closed roads included:
*Tilley Road South at the “S curves” south of Wright Road Southeast.
*Prather Road Southwest between Lundeen Road Southwest and Michigan Hill Road
*Independence Road Southwest between Marble Street Southwest and Michigan Hill Road Southwest.
*Moon Road Southwest at 188th Avenue Southwest.
*The gravel portion of Anderson Road Southwest north of State Route 12.
