Tumwater Artesian Brewfest, formerly known as Tumwater Oktoberfest, is set for 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Tumwater Valley Golf Course driving range.
This is the second year of an event that was created to honor Tumwater’s beer-brewing history. The city used to be home to the Olympia Brewing Co.
In addition to local beer, wine and food, the event also features live entertainment and games, such as supersized beer pong and the popular beer stein holding contest.
Participants try to hold a one-liter beer stein filled with Olympia beer for as long as they can.
Those who attend must be 21 or older. The cost to attend is $20 in advance -- the deadline is noon Friday -- and $25 the day of the event. The cost to designated drivers is $10, while the military receive a $5 discount.
The event is organized by the city of Tumwater and the Olympia Lacey Tumwater Visitor and Convention Bureau.
