More residences are coming to Lacey and one is a first for the area, according to city information.
That project is the Britton Parkway Apartments, a 192-unit development spread among four buildings, Lacey associate planner Sarah Schelling said Thursday.
That and other developments are along Britton Parkway Northeast, which is north of Interstate 5 and west of Marvin Road.
The apartment complex, which is being developed by Hall Equities Group of Walnut Creek, California, will offer a mix of 1- and 2-bedroom and studio apartments, she said.

The apartments are south of Britton Parkway and about 1,000 feet east of Carpenter Road, Schelling said.
Work is expected to begin this year or early next year, she said.
Hall Equities also has proposed 205 single-family residences opposite the apartments on Britton Parkway. The Britton residences were first proposed in 2006, but were put on hold during the recession, Schelling said.
Why the need for so much more housing? There still is market demand for it, according to Northwest Multiple Listing Service data. Thurston County home sales for all of 2014 rose more than 5 percent from 2013, the data show.
But the residential development doesn’t stop there: next to the Britton residences is a large development being undertaken by Taylor Development of Bellevue.
Seventy-two lots will be built within Lacey limits, while another 470 lots will be built in the county, Lacey community development director Rick Walk said.
The 72 lots will have single-family and multifamily development. Details about the remaining lots were not immediately available.
Hall Equities is no stranger to Lacey. They are developing the commercial parcel tied to the Summerwalk subdivision off Yelm Highway, which included bringing a smaller format Walmart grocery store to the site. The store opened last year.
Hall Equities also brought a 7-Eleven convenience store to Britton Parkway Northeast and Marvin Road Northeast a few years ago.
