Haggen will take ownership of the Olympia Albertsons’ store next week.
The store at 3520 Pacific Ave SE will close as an Albertsons at 6 p.m. Tuesday, and then Haggen officially takes over at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, according to a spokeswoman for Haggen.
The store is set to reopen as a Haggen at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The pharmacy will remain open during the store conversion, although the rest of the store will be closed to customers until it reopens.
Never miss a local story.
Haggen also is inviting local famers, food producers, nonprofit leaders and others to a community meeting set for 5 p.m. March 27 at The Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW.
The discussion will focus on selling opportunities at Haggen, community giving at Haggen and co-marketing programs for small businesses.
“We hope community members will join us for a fun evening to learn about how we can work together to strengthen our community,” said John Clougher, Haggen CEO, Pacific NW, in a statement.
