A 62-year-old woman, who was reported missing by her husband on Feb. 28, was found dead Saturday afternoon near Scott Lake.
The woman was a Scott Lake resident, Thurston County Sheriff’s Lt. Paul Counts said Sunday.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the south Thurston County community about 4:45 p.m. Saturday after the woman’s body was discovered by a person walking their dog, Counts said.
She was found in some brush, not far from the Scott Lake golf course, he said.
Her death is under investigation, although there were no signs of trauma to the body, Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock said Sunday. An autopsy is set for Tuesday, he said.
The woman’s name will be released once family have been notified, Warnock said.
