The Boys and Girls Clubs of Thurston County has named Katya Miltimore its new executive director.
Miltimore previously served as resource development director for the clubs and has been credited with expanding the organization’s fundraising. She is an active member of several local boards including West Olympia Rotary, Olympia School District Education Foundation, and South Sound Partners for Philanthropy, according to a news release.
Before coming to the clubs, Miltimore worked as development manager for the South Puget Sound Community College Foundation. She has a bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College and is pursuing a master’s degree in leadership and management at Western Governors University.
In addition, the organization announced that Lacey branch director Shellica Trevino has been hired as operations director for the clubs. Trevino has been working for the clubs since 2006.
The organization has four club locations that serve more than 2,700 school-age youth in Thurston County.
