An open house about the city of Olympia’s Downtown Strategy will take place 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday (April 29) at City Hall, 601 Fourth Ave. E.
The public is invited to learn more and provide feedback on the strategy, which involves the implementation of goals in the city’s comprehensive plan. The latter is a blueprint that outlines the city’s vision for the next 20 years.
The strategy will define what actions the city will take during the next five to six years. The strategy will focus on reducing uncertainty for development, encouraging private investment, enhancing public spaces, and preserving some of downtown’s natural or historic qualities, according to the city.
