County fairs have something for everybody: animals, food, rides, exhibits and all kinds of things for sale.
The Thurston County Fair opens July 29 and runs through Aug. 2, but now is the time for vendors to reserve a booth, fair organizers said.
Spaces throughout the fairgrounds are available, including inside spaces, covered outdoor spaces, and uncovered outdoor spaces, as well as spaces reserved for food concessions. Electrical and water hook-ups also are available, administrative assistant Kari Bodnar said.
The fair averages 33,000 visitors a year. This year’s theme is Picture Yourself at the Thurston County Fair.
For more information on the 2015 Thurston County Fair and to apply for a vendor booth or food concession space, contact the Thurston County Fair Office at 360-786-5453 or thurstoncountyfair.org. For those wanting to exhibit, the guide, forms and camping information also are on the website.
The fair is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. except the last day, Sunday, when it closes at 8 p.m.
