Salmon bake, potluck: The Friends of Schafer and Lake Sylvia will host a traditional salmon bake and potluck at 1 p.m., at Schafer State Park, 1365 W. Schafer Park Road, in Elma. Members will provide salmon and beverages; potluck are appreciated. A donation of $7 is requested to help with event expenses. Indigenous Peoples Day: The first celebration of this event will be 4-8 p.m. at Sylvester Park in downtown Olympia. Activities include speakers, drumming, storytelling and music.
