The Thurston County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Feb. 17 to hear testimony on proposed permanent zoning regulations for state-licensed marijuana producers, processors and retailers.
Planning commissioners will take comments on the proposal to permanently add chapters to the Thurston County Zoning Ordinances for the unincorporated Lacey, Tumwater and Olympia urban growth areas.
Amendments are also proposed to the State Environmental Policy Act to require marijuana producers, processors and retailers with new buildings bigger than 8,000 square feet to submit an environmental checklist for review at the time of their land use application.
The public hearing will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 17 in the County Courthouse building one, room 152, at 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW, Olympia.
