Authorities searched a mobile home in a residential area south of Tenino on Wednesday after receiving tips it was operating as an unlicensed bar.
Brian Smith, a spokesman for the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, said authorities received complaints that someone was selling alcohol without a license. Undercover officers went to the home on 184th Avenue Southeast last week and confirmed that.
Officials from the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board and the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office searched the property — a double-wide mobile home with an outdoor area for live music — on Wednesday morning. Smith said the operator could face charges of selling alcohol without a license, which is a misdemeanor.
Smith said authorities investigated similar allegations at the same location last year.
“It’s not something that comes across us very often,” he said. “It’s just someone profiting off the sale of alcohol and not being a legitimate business.”
