A 46-year-old woman was found dead early Saturday morning at the Bailey Motor Inn, and authorities are calling the cause of death suspicious, according to the Olympia Police Department and the Thurston County Coroner's Office.
About 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Olympia police were dispatched to the motel, where they found the woman, identified as a transient, dead in the room, Sgt. Paul Johnson said. She was sharing the room with two men, also in their 40s, and deputies found the body on the floor after she had fallen out of bed.
The two men, whose names were not released, also were identified as transients, Johnson said. It appeared the woman had been dead for some time; Johnson described the body as “cold to the touch.”
All three were highly intoxicated when they checked into the room, he said. No arrests have been made.
Coroner Gary Warnock said an autopsy is set for Monday. The woman’s name was not released pending next-of-kin notification.
