OLYMPIA –Two men were arrested and booked into the Thurston County Jail Sunday night after gunshots were fired from a pickup at another pickup during a road rage dispute on state Route 101, according to a spokeswoman for Washington State Patrol.
According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Brandy Kessler:
The two pickups were headed east on S.R. 101 near the Black Lake exit about 9 p.m. when one of the pickups attempted to pass the other. The pickup that was being passed made an “aggressive maneuver” toward the passing vehicle. The first pickup, the one that was attempting to pass, had to take evasive action to avoid a collision. Multiple gunshots were fired from the passing vehicle.
Both of the occupants of the pickup that was the source of the gunshots were arrested. According to the Thurston County Jail roster, Reed Boysen, 22, of Olympia; and Chad Parker, 22, of Woodstock, Georgia were arrested on suspicion of drive-by shooting Sunday night. It was unclear Monday which individual was the driver and which was the passenger.
