Thirteen people were arrested when Thurston County’s Party Intervention Patrol busted an underage party in Tumwater over the weekend, according to a news release.
Neighbors called the police after hearing “a lot of noise” coming from a Lakeside Street Southwest home, west of Black Lake.
Furniture had been removed from the home. Police found underage drinkers ranging from 18 to 20 years old in the house, the basement and outside on the property.
Those arrested are being accused of minor in possession of alcohol, the release said.

Officers found evidence of beer, wine, hard alcohol and marijuana paraphernalia throughout the house.
This was the third party intervention patrol this year, combining the efforts of the county’s many law enforcement agencies, including the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol and city police departments.
“Our goal is to keep kids from getting behind the wheel while intoxicated by busting these underage drinking parties before kids drive home or to the next party,” said Jerry Noviello, Thurston County Target Zero manager.
Youths arrested during a party intervention patrol are brought in for processing, then given the option to speak to a counselor.
