A Centralia man has been booked into the Thurston County Jail on suspicion of burglary with a firearm, assault and robbery.
\About 10:36 p.m. Thursday, Thurston County deputies investigated a report of a home-invasion robbery in the 100 block of Perkins Street N in Bucoda.
According to reports, the 34-year-old male victim was awakened by a man who was wearing a mask and who was armed with a handgun. When the suspect ordered the victim to come with him, the victim put on his shoes as though he we going to comply with the suspect’s demands.
The victim then turned on the suspect and began punching him. The suspect responded by pistol whipping the victim repeatedly. The suspect was eventually able separate from the victim at which point he fired a single round from the pistol into the floor between the victim’s feet. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s cellular telephone and fled.

The victim pulled the mask off the suspecdt and identified him as the
soon to be ex-husband of a female friend.
The suspect was arrested a short time later in the Grand Mound area after he called to report that he had been the victim of an assault.
