A 36-year-old Thurston County woman was arrested Friday after she allegedly told the FBI that she was about to shoot children in a school, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
Lt. Cliff Ziesemer said the FBI received a tip from the woman which stated, “I’m about to shoot up a school full of children just to be heard.” The woman did not name a specific school.
The FBI notified local law enforcement agencies, and Sheriff’s deputies contacted the woman at her home. Based on the woman’s demeanor and answers to questions, the deputies determined that the woman posed a threat and arrested her, Ziesemer said.
The woman was booked into the Thurston County Jail and will appear in Thurston County Superior Court at 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 20.
