A burglary suspect was apprehended late Thursday night in a tree in Hawks Prairie, according to a Thurston County dispatcher.
Lacey police were dispatched to the Trader Joe’s warehouse in the 3700 block of Hogum Bay Road at 10:17 p.m., according to the dispatcher. Reports indicate that the alleged burglary took place at a nearby home that was under construction, not at the warehouse, the dispatcher said.
At 11:39 p.m., Lacey police posted a photo of the suspect in a tree on Twitter, noting that the suspect had been tracked by Tumwater K-9 Officer Otis.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Thurston County Jail, and is under investigation for burglary, auto theft and eluding the police, according to Lacey police.
