Olympia police are searching for a man who robbed Columbia Bank in west Olympia Wednesday afternoon.
Lt. Paul Lower said police responded to the bank on the 2800 block of Harrison Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. after a bank employee reported the robbery. The employee said a man entered the bank, displayed a handgun and demanded money.
The suspect’s face was covered by a camouflage hood.
The suspect fled the scene in a silver or champagne-colored Chevrolet pickup truck. The truck was last seen driving on Cooper Point Road toward U.S. Highway 101.

Other local law enforcement agencies have been informed of the robbery and are searching for the suspect.
