Take a tour of Tumwater’s newest school building and hear superintendent John Bash talk about the nearly 6,500-student district’s upcoming goals during the Community Roundtable from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, at Peter G. Schmidt Elementary School, 237 Dennis St. SE.
The free event is open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
With a price tag of about $25 million, the nearly 70,000-square-foot school was the first major project funded by a $136 million bond measure voters approved in February 2014. It was built on the same campus and near the old Peter G. Schmidt Elementary School, which was mostly demolished during the summer.
