The Shelton School District will hold a free screening clinic Aug. 23-25 to help parents identify possible developmental delays in children ages 5 and younger. The screenings are by appointment.
They will look at the areas of language, motor, cognitive, social and self-help skills. Parents having concerns in these areas can call the preschool secretary, Lacie Jorgensen, at 360-426- 2151.
Screenings of all children up to age 5 are available throughout the school year, and parents with older children through age 21 can call the same number for information regarding referral for evaluation and services for children with disabilities.
