Former Olympia School District superintendent Howard Coble recently was honored by the American Association of School Administrators.
According to a news release:
Coble was given a Distinguished Service Award by the organization. He began his career in 1950 as an elementary schoolteacher and served 11 years as an elementary school principal before moving to the district administration positions in Edmonds and Snohomish school districts. He was the superintendent of the Olympia School District from 1973 to 1980 and later served as executive director of the Washington Association of School Administrators for 11 years.
Coble lives in Olympia and works as a search consultant for school districts that are hiring superintendents.
