Even at Bank of America, where change is a constant, this week's management shakeup means another round of angst for executives and employees worried about their new bosses and the decisions they'll make.
Only a day after the shuffle, two more top executives said they're leaving. And experts say more change is likely as the new leaders seek to put their stamp on the organization at a critical time for the company and the financial services industry.
Under chief executive Ken Lewis, the Charlotte-based bank has seen a half dozen major mergers, accompanying rounds of layoffs and a host of management shuffles. Each event comes with concerns about promotions, demotions and job stability.
The moves rekindle worries over the bank's potential tilt away from Charlotte and stir unease for managers over whom to back in a competition to succeed Lewis.
