Lawyer: Detainee dropped from 9/11 case tried to kill self

Mohammed al Qahtani, 29, cut himself repeatedly and had to be hospitalized after he learned that the Pentagon was seeking the death penalty against him and five others for the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Last week, the Pentagon dropped Qahtani from the case.
