The Senate will convene for floor action at 10 a.m. Friday and could vote on its proposed transportation package.
Senate Democrats have introduced a proposed amendment to the transportation plan that Senate Minority Leader Sharon Nelson said would strip the package of some of the policy reforms that Republicans have insisted on.
FRIDAY IN THE LEGISLATURE
Friday marks the deadline for bills to pass out of fiscal committees.
The House Appropriations Committee and Senate Ways & Means Committee plan to meet Friday to vote out as many bills as possible before the Friday deadline. The House and Senate transportation committees also are meeting to consider and possibly advance legislation.
ELSEWHERE ON CAMPUS
The Mockingbird Society is holding Youth Advocacy Day on the Capitol campus Friday to call for improvements to the foster care system, as well as for solutions to end youth homelessness in the state. The group meets at 10:30 a.m. at the steps of the Legislative Building.
