OLYMPIA – The League of Women Voters of Thurston County plans a discussion of Initiative 1033 at its next general meeting, Sept. 24 in Olympia.
The event at Traditions Café begins at 6 p.m. with a social hour, followed by speakers at 6:30 p.m. For information, call 360-352-8220 or go to www.lwvwa.org.
I-1033 is the work of professional ballot-measure sponsor Tim Eyman. It proposes to limit the growth of city, county and state spending from general funds, restricting increases to a factor based on inflation and population growth. Any excess revenues would be used to lower property taxes.
