The new year brings another voter-registration deadline in Thurston County. Those who are registered in Washington state but moved or changed their names have until Jan. 11 to update their registrations if they want to vote at their new addresses in the Feb. 9 special election.
School levy measures will be on the ballot in all but the Olympia and Yelm school districts, county Auditor Kim Wyman said.
Voter-registration changes and new voter registrations can be made online at www.thurstonvotes.org through Jan. 11. Those not registered to vote also can do that in person until Feb. 1 at the auditor’s office. It is located at the County Courthouse in Building 1, Room 106, at 2000 Lakeridge Drive S.W., Olympia.
Call 360-786-5408 or use the auditor’s online portal to check one’s voter status or get more details.
