The Democratic Study Group at Panorama will hold a forum beginning at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 12 to learn about two legislative resolutions and two initiatives on the Nov. 2 ballot.
The event is at the Panorama retirement community’s auditorium on Circle Loop in Lacey. It is open to the public.
Pro and con statements will be made on these issues:
Senate Joint Resolution 8225, which addresses the state debt limit.
Never miss a local story.
House Joint Resolution 4220, which would let judges deny bail in certain criminal cases that carry potential life prison terms and those in which there is a clear threat of violence if the defendant is released.
Initiative 1100, which would put the sale, distribution and importation of liquor in private-sector hands.
Initiative 1105, which also would close state liquor stores but issue licenses to private parties to sell or distribute liquor.
