Capitol Rotunda Memorial Day ceremony starts at 10:30 a.m. today with music by The American Legion Band, Capitol Rotunda inside the Legislative building on the Capitol Campus, Olympia. Hosted by the Thurston County Veterans Council. Ceremony begins at 11 a.m. with a cannon salute by American Legion Post 166 Cannoneers. 360-888-8211.

Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery along with the American Legion Post No. 94 presents the annual Memorial Day Observance Tribute, 4 p.m. today, Woodlawn Cemetery, 5930 Mullen Road S.E., Lacey. Music by the American Legion Band starts at 3:30 p.m. Keynote speaker is Capt. Ed Szczepanik and Bill McGregor. Refreshments served. 360-491-3000.

28th annual Memorial Day Observance, 2 p.m. today, Mills & Mills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 5725 Littlerock Road S.W., Tumwater. Featuring patriotic music by the Capital Area Concert Band, a performance by Wrinkles of Washington and a cannon salute by the American Legion Post No. 166 Cannoneers. Tumwater Memorial Day Celebration begins at 12:30 p.m. today, Odd Fellows Memorial Park, 3802 Cleveland Ave. S.E., Tumwater. Tribute includes a cannon salute by the Tumwater American Legion Post No. 166, the National Anthem sung by the Sweet Adelines, Posting of the Colors by the Civil Air Patrol Cadets and a traditional Navy 21-bell salute. Keynote speaker is Past Grand Master of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows John Crispin. Hot dogs, cookies and drinks will be served after the event. 360-352-8601.

Fort Lewis honors fallen soldiers in a Memorial Day ceremony at 11:30 a.m., today at the Fort Lewis Cemetery. Brig. Gen. Jeff W. Mathis, acting commanding general, Fort Lewis, will be the guest speaker; 1st Corps Band will provide the music. Visitors without Fort Lewis military or civilian ID cards who wish to attend the ceremony will be required to obtain a pass from the post’s Visitor Center at exit 120 on Interstate 5. Signs will direct visitors to the cemetery.

Veterans Advisory Council Memorial Day Ceremony, 2 p.m. today, Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W., Lakewood. 253-584-0252.

Tahoma National Cemetery Memorial Day Observance, noon Tuesday, Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 240th St. S.E., Kent. This year’s program features music by the Bellevue Community Band and guest speakers Lt. Col. James Stocks and Bill Jayne, cemetery development coordinator, office of Field Programs. 425-413-9614.

83rd annual Memorial Day Service, 1:30 p.m. today, Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park’s Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle. The speaker for this year’s service is Washington’s Col. Debra Lewis. Medal of Honor recipients will be honored. Music by the Seattle Pacific University Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Drum Corps.
