Recently there was an immigration day in Olympia. I congratulate the governor for honoring those who have gained their citizenship in the USA.
To get here they had lawyer fees, hours – maybe days – in embassy lines, police background checks, medical exams, large fees to our Immigration Customs Enforcement Department and lots of help from their friends here and in their native countries. These people are truly immigrants.
On the other hand, there were people at the rally who were illegal aliens. One was whining about the driver’s license issue. Illegal aliens should not have Washington state driver’s licenses.
The constitution says that no man is above the law. So why are these illegals not arrested and returned to their native country? We have a visa program that would allow the illegal aliens to come to our country to work.
Never miss a local story.
We need to put the burden on the employers who house and feed the workers and take care of their medical care while they are here.
I am willing to pay the extra dime for the fruit or vegetable that the illegal immigrants harvest.
Let’s put the burden on the employers, not the citizens of the state. Our small towns are being overrun by illegal aliens.
Take a look at the Washington State Patrol’s most wanted list and you will see why illegal aliens should not have driver’s licenses.
