I, along with most everyone, have been watching and reading about the ongoing violence in Mexico. Two thoughts come to my mind.
First: The only reason there are drug cartels is because we Americans are willing to pay for the poison.
In essence the illegal-drug users of this nation must take some of the responsibility for the drug-related murders.
Good luck prosecuting anyone for this though.
The second thought is this: In Mexico it is illegal to own a gun.
It seems in this case the old bumper sticker that says, “If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns” is true.
How would it be any different if guns are ever outlawed in this country?
