Lately, it seems the biggest challenge facing GOP presidential rivals is how to say – without saying it – that the Bush administration’s decision to invade Iraq was a mistake. The invasion of Iraq was no mistake. It stemmed from a deliberate and conscious decision to deceive the Congress and American people.
An example of a mistake was the intelligence and security failure which led to the tragic deaths of four American diplomats in Benghazi in 2012. That’s why I find it beyond pathetic that Republicans in Congress have expended more effort in a futile attempt to uncover a Benghazi scandal than Democrats ever did with the bogus claims which led to the deaths of 4,500 Americans and untold numbers of Iraqis.
