Regarding the article in The Olympian about a census of Thurston County homeless: It occurs to me that there may be some upside to this homeless thing.
No alarm clock that sends me off to some less-than-wonderful job with deadlines and quotas policed by super jerk.
Not burdened with any responsibilities to anyone or anything except myself.
There would be a whole bunch of folks in town worried about and working on my well being.
Like the Einstein guy said, "everything is relative," and some days that looks like it could be a pretty good option.
