Dino Rossi will turn over rocks in Olympia that have been embedded for decades. In one election, we can transform state government for a generation.

Do you want tax relief? Dino Rossi is your man ...

Do we trust Congress to govern correctly?

Where does it end? We look at our current financial problem and we see private business, housing and now the banks being subsidized by the government. Now the United States is in bed with the communist Chinese government not only with the war, but for the bail out.

I know that this hurts really bad, but I would say that I don't trust government to fix anything, since they are the ones who created the problem in the first place.

We put trust in the very people that most of us agree are not doing a very good job to begin with. Congress has an approval rate of about 10 percent!

We need to be careful who we elect to office. They must really have passion for the Constitution and personal freedom. They must not sell our souls to a government (China) that would seek our demise if they could.

Are we now the USSA — the United Socialist State of America?

Joel Brincken, Lacey

Communities need more red-light cameras

After reading the editorial "Cameras boost safety of roads," I am constantly impressed by Lacey's determination to keep their roads safe from irresponsible drivers who run red lights.

I've lived in Washington for a year now and have seen a lot of accidents that could have been easily avoided with just some basic common driver etiquette.

This sense of a dog-eat-dog world does not belong on our roads, if even in our society.

With as many vehicles that are roaming the streets these days drivers must remember that it's not the end of the world if they are late to work or a social event.

I think every town and city should have more speed and red light cameras located throughout, regardless of cost, because life is too valuable.
