All weekend: Pink salmon schools are moving near beaches north of Commencement Bay – such as Dash Point State Park and Browns Point. Expect to see a lot of salmon – and a lot of anglers.
All weekend: Chinook salmon fishing is now open on the Skokomish River from the mouth to U.S. Highway 101. Anglers are limited to one chinook a day through Sept. 30. Fishing might be slow until rains bring more salmon into the river.
All weekend: Coastal beaches – from Westport north to Olympic National Park – should be warm and sunny this weekend. This is turning into an epic summer for beach lovers.
