Volunteers are needed for a cleanup of Tahuya State Forest – which is near Belfair – this weekend.
The state Department of Natural Resources is sponsoring work parties – and after-work potlucks – from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Volunteers should bring work gloves, a camp chair and a dish to share in the potluck.
Volunteers will meet in the Oak Patch area, which is at mile marker 4.5 on Elfendahl Pass Road. To reach this spot, take Highway 3 to Highway 300, also known as North Shore Road. Turn right onto Belfair-Tahuya Road. Turn right onto Elfendahl Pass Road and follow the signs.
Never miss a local story.
