Members of the Olympia chapter of Trout Unlimited will hear a presentation on the proposal to restore Capitol Lake into an estuary.
Sue Patnude, president of the Deschutes River Restoration Team, will give the presentation at the group’s meeting Wednesday.
The restoration team is a proponent of restoring the the Deschutes River estuary. One study estimated the river carries 35,000 cubic yards of sediment per year into the dammed-up basin.
The chapter meets at the North Olympia Fire Station, 5046 Boston Harbor Road N.E., Olympia.
