Metro Parks Tacoma is offering snowshoe trips for women and families this weekend.
A women’s snowshoe hike, led by experienced guides, will take place 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. This trip is for women 18 or older. Transportation and equipment will be provided. Bring your own lunch. The cost is $60 for Tacoma residents and $65 for nonresidents.
The family snowshoe trip will be with a naturalist, taking place 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 27. Participants will learn the basics of animal tracking and observe nature in a new way.
Dress for cold weather, wear sturdy boots and bring a sack lunch. Snowshoes, instruction and transportation are provided. Participants must be 7 or older. This trip requires participation by two or more intergenerational family members. The cost is $18 for Tacoma residents and $20 for nonresidents.
